Chalk Art!

Watch artists at work on large-scale outdoor chalk art at multiple locations throughout the festival grounds. CreekFest 2017 will feature several local artists and artist groups — stay tuned for the official 2016 artist lineup!


Klein ISD High Schools

Groups from all four Klein ISD high schools – Klein HS, Klein Oak, Klein Collins, and Klein Forest – will be out at the festival early Saturday morning to begin their large chalk murals.

2015 Artists:

Anat Ronen

Anat RonenAnat is a Houston based self-taught artist, born and raised in the State of Israel. In 2009, she created four murals on the Galveston Causeway, each 90 feet long. Since then, Anat has completed more than three hundred larger and smaller scale murals on highways, commercial spots, and in private homes throughout the Houston area and beyond.

Carol Wells

Carol worked for over twenty years in graphic arts and publishing before devoting full-time to pet portraits in 2000. Having to date painted almost 2,000 portraits in watercolor, Carol now divides her time between different art forms, including street painting. She also enjoys gardening with native plants and volunteering at the Wildlife Center of Texas. See more of her street painting (and other artwork!) on her website.

Michael-Ann Belin
Michael-Ann Belin will be returning to CreekFest in 2014 for her fourth year as a participating artist. Samia Nazir

Samia Nazir
Samia Nazir works in calligraphy and the juxtaposition of language on canvas. Most of her work is done in acrylics and mixed media, as she believes in experimenting in medium as an essential part of her art. Samia was one of three featured artists in the Bridging Cultures exhibition at the Pearl in November 2013, and will be bringing her talents to CreekFest for the first time in 2014!
